Important Dates and
Information:
Thursday, September 14: Lower
School Curriculum Night from 6-8 PM.
Friday, September 15: Early
Release
English Language Arts:
Grammar: Scholars will write a
letter home and review types of sentences and adverbs, with a quiz on Friday.
Literature: We will finish
reading Prince Caspian and conclude our adventure with a unit assessment on
Thursday. In Poetry we will continue to practice “Lochinvar.”
Math: Scholars will begin our unit on
multiplication and division.
History: Scholars will complete our study of
mountains and begin learning about Medieval Europe.
Science: Scholars will wrap up with energy
and begin a new unit focusing on investigating waves.
Highlights:
Starting in September, students
will begin going to the library every other week to check out one book at a
time.
Note: Your scholar needs to bring
an independent reading book to school every day to use during dismissal. This
is especially important if your scholar is picked up at Upper School because
the expectation in the MPR is that scholars read silently.
