English Language Arts: This week in Poetry we will be reciting
“The Violet” and beginning our next poem “Lochinvar.” In Literature, we are
continuing with Prince Caspian. For writing, scholars will begin our intro into
fables. Students will be practicing their manuscript/cursive writing.
Math: This week scholars will practice
addition and subtraction in preparation for answering word problems using a bar
model.
History: This week we wrap up our unit on
maps and begin exploring mountains.
Science: We will continue to investigate
different forms of energy, how they can change and help people.
Highlights:
Friday, September 1 is an Early Release day. Dismissal will begin at 1:30.
